About the Author

Jerry Craven, the director of Lamar University Press and Ink Brush Press, and Editor-in-Chief of Amarillo Bay, is on the writing faculty at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. He is an experienced traveler to exotic places, including Venezuela; Agra, India; and Delhi, India. Craven is an award-winning author of twenty-four volumes of fiction, nonfiction, short stories, and poetry. These include Snake Mountain, a novel published by TCU Press, and Tickling Catfish: A Texan Looks at Culture from Amarillo to Borneo, creative nonfiction (Texas A&M University Press).
